Minimal Beige Wetroom with Walnut Vanity Unit
Modern En-suite Bathroom in a Period Country House
Design Brief
A modern, minimal en-suite bathroom in a period country house in Cheshire. The client wanted a light, clean contemporary style, with a pink tone, in sympathy with the original historical features.
Floor and Wall Tiles
The floor and wall tiles are Royal Mosa Light Beige (266V) from the Core Collection Terra in a square 45 x 45 cm format with matching skirtings. The tile pattern is edge-to-edge. The walls are partially tiled in the wet areas with painted walls to retain the room's character.
Bathroom Furniture
The wash-basin vanity top is made from a composite stone material (Monolith) by Casabath, who also made the smooth Walnut Veneered Vanity Unit with pressure-opening drawers and the Minimal mirror with the LED strip down-light—the pink hue of the walnut couples nicely with the salmon-pink walls in the bedroom.
Sanitaryware
The white sanitaryware is from the Duravit Happy D2 Collection. The WC flush, behind the tiles, is a Geberit Dual Flush Concealed Cistern actuated by a Geberit Sigma 20 Flush Plate.
Brassware
The brassware is from Hansgrohe. The washbasin tap is the Logis, while the showerhead and hand shower is Raindance.
Design Details
The polished chrome towel radiator is from the SMART collection by Tubes Radiatori.
The room has Warmup electric underfloor heating controlled by a wall-mounted timer or a remote phone App.
The shower screen was templated, supplied and fitted by a local glass company, Cheadle Glass.
Lastly, the free-standing toilet brush in polished chrome is by Dornbracht.
